Wijnaldum’s brilliance in Liverpool’s midfield has helped the Reds win both in the Champions League and Premier League in recent years, and while his influence can sometimes go under the radar, he is hugely appreciated by many, as evidenced by the reactions of many supporters (see below).

The 30-year-old’s future has been up in the air all season, however, having not yet agreed to extend his stay with the Reds. Wijnaldum’s current deal runs out at the end of this campaign and it is now claimed that he will join Barcelona on a free transfer when the summer transfer window opens.
According to The Sunday Times, the midfielder has a pre-contract agreement in place, bringing an end to his time as a Liverpool player.
